Side Effects of Enanthate
While we discussed the side effects of Testosterone Enanthate in the profile page, we want to spend a little more time and go into depth as this is an extremely important topic. When it comes to the side effects of Enanthate they are very real; however, they are often overrated as they are extremely easy to control for the healthy adult male. With the issue of a healthy adult male in mind, before we get into the direct side effects of Enanthate we want to discuss what it means to be a healthy adult male. If you are going to supplement with Testosterone Enanthate, it is imperative you meet the below checklist:
- You must no suffer from high blood pressure
- You must not suffer from high cholesterol
- You must not suffer from an enlarged prostate
· You must understand the side effects of Enanthate fully and how to control them
- You must be an adult male
Estrogenic Side Effects of Enanthate:
Of all the possible side effects of Enanthate, none are more common than those of an estrogenic nature. As a pure testosterone compound, Enanthate carries a strong aromatizing nature and as it aromatizes this can cause a conversion of testosterone into estrogen. As estrogen levels increase in the body, this can lead to three very common anabolic steroid side effects and they include:
· Gynecomastia: as estrogen levels increase and attach the receptors in the chest male breast enlargement can occur and this is a side effect of Enanthate
no man will want. In-order to combat this issue we have two options, Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators (SERM’s) like Nolvadex and Aromatase Inhibitors
(AI’s) like Arimidex. By far AI’s are the most effective. AI’s will inhibit the aromatase process and reduce the amount of free flowing estrogen in the
body. As for SERM’s, they will attach to the receptor in the place of estrogen; however, they will not inhibit aromatase activity.
· Water Retention: once again this problem is caused by the buildup of estrogen in the body, and once again AI’s can be your saving grace. Even so, AI’s
also have the ability to increase LDL cholesterol levels, and this is something you will need to keep a close eye on. As for SERM’s, they will do very
little to prevent water retention. In any case, many who use an AI’s still find the side effects of Enanthate to include water retention, but nine times
out of ten the problem is not the testosterone but the individual’s diet. If you severely overeat, especially carbohydrates you are going to hold water
with or without an AI and with or without an anabolic steroid.
· High Blood Pressure: when excess water retention becomes a problem, this can increase blood pressure. As this is the case, this is probably the easiest side effect to control; after all, control water retention and live a healthy lifestyle and you will control your blood pressure. It should be noted; this is all assuming there are no underlying issues such as a genetic predisposition to high blood pressure.
Dihydrotestosterone Side Effects of Enanthate:
Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is an anabolic hormone from the same androgen class as testosterone and testosterone can convert to DHT. As Enanthate is testosterone, the side effects of Enanthate can include those of a DHT nature. DHT related side effects of Enanthate are far less common than those of an estrogenic nature; however, they can still be a concern. Such side effects of Enanthate include:
· Acne: by far this will be the most common DHT related side effect of Enanthate and by far the easiest to control. Those who are already sensitive to acne
will be the first to have a problem, but by keeping your skin clean most will be fine; in-fact, unless you’re ultra-sensitive there’s no reason to have a
major problem.
· Hair Loss: DHT has the ability to deteriorate the hair follicles and men who are predisposed to male pattern baldness may find this to be a problem. If
this is an issue for you, many men find the 5-alpha reductase inhibitor Finasteride to offer a good deal of hair line protection. This androgen suppressor
can be just what you need in-order to protect your hair line; however, if you are predisposed to male pattern baldness you’re going to lose your hair at
some point in time no matter what you do. It should be noted; men who are not predisposed to male pattern baldness will not lose any of their hair.
· Prostate Enlargement: with large levels of DHT in the body the prostate can become enlarged and of all the side effects of Enanthate this is the most concerning. It truly will take a large buildup of DHT to cause a problem but with a healthy prostate and responsible doses most men will be fine. Of course, many include DHT based steroids with their testosterone compound and if you do this is where you’ll really need to be careful. You must keep your DHT levels under control. If for any reason prostate enlargement becomes a problem this is where you’ll find Finasteride to be truly beneficial. Many men have found six months of Finasteride therapy to be the key to improving prostate enlargement; in-fact, in many cases completely.
Testosterone Side Effects of Enanthate:
If it’s an anabolic steroid, in most cases it’s going to suppress your natural testosterone production. Of course, the rate of suppression is going to vary from one steroid to the next but it’s more than likely going to occur and with Enanthate it will be extensive. Even so, there’s no alarming concern; after all, your natural production is suppressed but you’ll be providing your body all the testosterone it needs exogenously with Enanthate. Of course, as natural production has come to a halt your testicles will atrophy and they will remain so until your anabolic steroid use has come to an end. Once all anabolic steroid use has come to an end and the exogenous hormones have cleared your system your natural testosterone production will begin again and your testicles will return to their normal size.
